	A strange group of people knocked at my door. They were looking for me, or just any experienced medic, to be exact. They told me about plans to venture out on a long journey to a distant land for a new opportunity at life. They were pale and thin, with hollow cheeks, although they were dressed quite nicely in crimson vests, suits, and dresses.

	They quickly pulled out a large bag of gold coins and handed it to me. There was nothing really anchoring me down anymore after the passing of my father, and the seemingly stable income seemed like a good option to move forward. A blonde lady, who was even whiter and skinnier than the rest of the group, introduced herself as the leader of the group. She hastily moved into my apartment, without much of a question but with undoubted grace. I offered her a drink of water or tea, but she refused, waving me off like an annoying insect. She straightforwardly explained my job. It was to keep as many of them alive as possible during the long, exhausting journey, and to help the future manual workers of the colony. The next week, after I packed my bags and a single suitcase, we set off on the bumpy sand road in multiple carriages. 3 days into the journey, it turned out a wild animal had been feeding on our food supplies in the back of our supply carriage. It caused us to have to ration our food very carefully.
5 days into the journey, an epidemic broke out amongst our group due to the heavy rain and freezing conditions on the previous day.
