The Queen's Voyage
In-universe date: Era Nova, April-May, Year 2

Real-world date: 2026-08-15
Author: Percival van der Berg

To Her Majesty, Queen Kheta-Semet of Kheta-Kedet,

Your Majesty,

I write to inform you that the commission you entrusted to the Koperdam Atlas Bureau has been completed. The continent of Hekamwt has been surveyed to the extent my travels have permitted, and I have finished compiling the observations and coordinates necessary for the map.

As promised, I will be returning to Kedet before beginning the next stage of my travels.

I expect to arrive within several days, assuming the roads and weather remain favorable. This should provide you with sufficient time to gather whatever belongings you deem necessary for the journey ahead.

I would advise you to travel lightly. We may be away from Kedet for months, and while I shall do my utmost to make the voyage comfortable, I cannot promise that we shall always have the conveniences available to you within your kingdom.

More importantly, I hope you have taken the time to cherish the company of your people as I advised. You may be their Queen, but you are also their protector, and I suspect they will feel your absence as much as you will feel theirs.

Once I arrive, we shall discuss the journey in greater detail and determine what preparations remain.

Until then, I shall continue making my way toward Kedet.

Prepare yourself, Your Majesty.

The world awaits us.
