Dravali originate from the dripstone caves deep underground. Some myths say that the first Dravali were grown from the silty puddles contained within. Dravali have a unique form of asexual reproduction. When a Dravali is near the end of their life, they return to the caves and enter a state of hibernation after forming a ritual circle, passed down from generation to generation, around themselves. During this hibernation, Dravali fragment into 2-5 individuals whose genetic information is mixed through the ritual circle. After the fragmentation, the original Dravali is no more, and the new individuals leave the caves and enter the world.

After the fragmentation, the original Dravali is no more, and the new individuals leave the caves and enter the world. Culture As a result of the fragmentation, Dravali individuals sometimes experience the memories of their ancestors, which they call "Rzg'ga" or "Sharding". This usually only occurs once or twice during their lifespan and is viewed by Dravali as a harbinger of change. Dravali do not have sexual dimorphism, with phenotypal traits equally likely through the population. As a result it is common to see Dravali expressing their identity and individualism through their clothing, accessories, and tattoos. Dravali value knowledge highly, with many chosing a specific area of study after reaching maturity (around 20 years of age) and completing a journey of exploration. While no one field is considered above another, most Dravali choose to study the past (history), the earth (geology), and the people (sociology).

Lifespan Dravali live for about 70 years before fragmentation. Abilities Physical prowess There are little to no differences between a Dravali’s strength, and that of a human’s. Mental prowess There are little to no differences between a Dravali’s cognition, and that of a human’s. Magical prowess While they are capable of magic, Dravali have no natural affinity for magical arts.
