The Myceliein are a rare and elusive type of Fey originating from ancient, magical mushrooms, possessing high intelligence, spore communication, and a deep, mysterious connection to nature.

Description The Myceliein are a type of Fey people which originate from old, magical and ancient mushrooms. Myceliei is the general term for all species born from mushrooms. Their current reproduction takes in the form mutated mushroom spores, which are spread around naturally throughout a myceliei’s life. It isn’t quite known which strand of fungi they mutated from, however. In recent years there has also been a few sightings of animals which share similar qualities to the Myceliei, annd appear to be fungified. Although they are edible, most note that they do not taste good. Dishes containing them have a strong dirt or even clay taste that overpowering all other ingredients. Few have actually seen or heard about the race. There have always been folktales about the existence of similar Fey, but the discovery of the Myceliei has not been widely acknowledged. Culture The Myceliei have evolved to have higher rates of spore dispersal allowing for them to have greater numbers than most and while this would likely cause less organisation between other races, the myceliei can release spores to communicate with others, allowing for easy communication among the ranks. Myceliei are also prone to evolution due to their high iq, allowing for them to acclimatise to new situations quite fast albeit often a lot worse in warmer temperatures.

Lifespan The Myceliei live for around 40 to 50 years, which they make up for it with high rates of spore dispersal. This may be affected by quality of soil and climate either reducing or increasing efficiency. Abilities Physical prowess Being very small creatures, the Myceliei are very good at hiding. Physically they may struggle against larger predators, but catching them may prove to be harder than outright winning a fight. Mental prowess The Myceliei are highly intelligent creatures, with their mental cognition often times exceeding the human mind. Magical prowess While they are capable of magic, Myceliei have no natural affinity for magical arts.
