if anyone out there has something that needs finding, solving, killing, retrieving, or quietly making disappear, now's the time to bring it up. i'm apparently very motivated today. don't ask why. the answer involves a note.

Hayami pointed out this morning that a quest board with two quests on it is, in her words, "not really a board, just a very sad piece of wood." Then, she pinned a note to it. The note said, "Fix this :)" The smiley face was doing a lot of threatening work for two dots and a curved line.

Fair, though. Accurate, even. I'll allow it.

Apparently, my job as co-founder involves more than looking mysterious near the entrance and occasionally scaring off potential members with unsolicited eye contact. Who knew? Hayami knew, apparently. Hayami has known for a while now and has been remarkably patient about it, which is somehow worse than if she'd just yelled. Yelling I can work with. Yelling has a clear resolution. Quiet disappointment has range.

So, in the interest of guild harmony, and also to avoid finding any more notes with smiley faces on them, I'll be heading out to actually gather some work. Real quests. Real problems. The kind adventurers can pick up off a board that has, again, actual things on it.

If anyone out there has something that needs finding, solving, killing, retrieving, or quietly making disappear, now's the time to bring it up. I'm apparently very motivated today. Don't ask why. The answer involves a note.
