Treasure In Vetatasi
From Era Vetus, 3/3
After the losses of the "Barnhouse Scandal" (as Simata put it), there was an expedition by him and others to dig up the aforementioned "treasures" the people had fished up and buried. (This is all after they died, so there is no potential outrage).
Anyways, Simata started working on a mineshaft down. After a little bit, there was some progress, the finding of some pottery was very interesting to him and the others that were apart of the expedition. Not much in terms of sherds and patterns but there were some cool finds.
The finding of the pottery excited Simata and the others, so they powered through and found an area of iron gear and a pocket of ores. This was even more motivating to Simata; Finding armour and tools was very interesting to the excursionists that were with Simata. He let them stay there and continued digging.
He found a very large deposit of an unknown greenish orangish metal, peculiar substance it was to him and the others.
Simata came to the Kaptein and Harakhas inspected it, and inspected more. They looked through atlases about regions of ore deposits of the area, and a common name they found in Vetatasi was copper. It was a small deposit of copper that they stumbled upon. There were treasures from the oceans containing it, which intrigued Simata from the historical part. But finding the deposit of pure copper was more intriguing to him.
Harakhas decided that the few important houses (such as his own) in Haisam would be decorated in copper. Simata and others helped the construction of the adhesion of the metal to the Kaptein's house.
