History

Formation of Gloracja

The nation was formed as a colonial settlement in Sundara. It was established mainly by traders looking for a rich, virgin land which they may exploit. The gathering was lead by Alexandra Kovalska. They quickly made multiple temporary tent settlements, such as highgrad, the FGS, and what will in the future become the capital. They rapidly developed the FGS as it was formed around a quarry, which readily provided them with resources. It was quickly formed into their first proper town. The next major project was "Fort Lotus", the first major defensive bulwark of the Glorians.

Gloracja's first government-like structure was a relatively free market society, where the only people respected politically, were intellectuals as well as those with proper wealth. Altough, that system was quickly reformed, by the previously mentioned Alexandra. She released the constitution, which hastily sought to grant her more power.

The plan for development

Under its new governmental structure, Gloracja quickly started developing. It has established the 2 Year Plan (Gloracja/The Two Year Plan) as well as a major plan for urbanization (Gloracja/Glorian urbanization) which sought to develop Highgrad into a proper city as well as creating a new one, titled Krjepeton. They mainly targeted agricultural development as well as proper steel extraction and refining. Militarization was also an incredibly high priority focus, due to the nations around it rapidly expanding their military and technological prowess.

Article I

Selecting a Grand Leader

1. A leader shall be selected to uphold the state once every six (6) years
2. The leader shall be selected by a gathering of the 150 richest Glorians and landowners.
3. The leader must be a member of the gathering of the 150 richest Glorians and landowners.
4. The leader must not threaten the safety of any members of such a gathering.

Article II

Obligations of a Grand Leader

1. The leader shall develop the state's economy and economic infrastructure
2. The leader shall develop the safety of the state via expanding its militaristic force
3. The leader shall uphold any agreements held with other parties
4. The leader shall promote a designated high advisor of the state
5. The Grand Leader must assign an army general, dedicated to assisting in clause II.2., an economic leader, dedicated to assisting with clause II.1., and a leader of foreign affairs, dedicated to assisting with clause II.3.

Article III

Benefits of a Grand Leader

1. The Grand Leader may override, or otherwise veto, any decisions made by secondary leaders or the army general.
2. The Grand Leader may decide to veto any amendment made to this document if they so wish
3. The Grand Leader may issue direct, undeniable orders to the general of the army.
4. If the secondary leaders or generals are deemed unworthy of their role, they may be replaced by the Grand Leader.

Article IV

Economy

1. Privately owned businesses are expected to cooperate and direct their profits towards the state.
2. The government may intervene and terminate any and all privately owned businesses with no previous notice
3. Medical assistance is not to ever be funded fully by the state
4. The state and grand leader must cooperate with other nations to improve the state's economy
5. 150 of the richest Glorians may reinvest up to 50% of their profits in order to remain at the gathering.

Amendments

1. Amendments to the constitution may be proposed by the gathering of the 150 richest Glorians to be reviewed by the Grand Leader.

Article VI

Jurisdiction

1. The Grand Leader has absolute power over anyone found guilty and has the right to execute such an individual or imprison them for life if necessary.
2. Smaller cases are handled by the Grand Glorian Justice Centre

Locations

FGS

The First Glorian Settlement, Its a small mining town centered around a quarry. It currently serves as the only town in the nation based around housing, along with the multiple tent settlements.

FORT LOTUS

large fortress, current base of operations for Gloracja. It is heavily fortified and quite simplistic in decoration. It serves both a ceremonial, symbolic function as well as being a defensive bulwark. It is located around the center of Gloracja between its plains and Savannas. Its construction was assisted by The Guild. [1]

Culture

Glorian culture was at first was heavily inspired by its previous traditions. The free market, individual rights and personal charity were amongst the highest ranks of virtues. As the new nation started to form, a new culture started to emerge with it. It has morphed into a belief that the state protects the people, so they must protect the state, no matter how much it costs them. They value hard work, patriotism and sacrifice for the greater good. Poetry and philosophers are highly valued amongst Glorians, as is education. They still value the mind far above anything else. Painting, sculpting and the fine arts are highly developed. The realistic art of Glorians is unmatched amongst the nations of aquila, as they highly value accurately describing the outside world. They are talented mapmakers as they focus the material world around them. They attempt to recreate and understand the world around them, which in turn creates a philosophical, physicalist way of thought. The huge manpower in Gloracja, in coordination with the huge resource defecits the nation often faces due to it, often creates a pessimistic, decrepit image of the nation, even though its creations are grand and often highly decorative.

The Military

The Military of Gloracja is constructed from the massive manpower of the nation.

The infantry

The Glorian Infantry relies on soldiers with often little to no armor, armed with shortswords or axes. They wear practical uniforms, mass produced, often too large or too small for their bodies.

THE PIKERS

The pikers, as pictured above in their mountain-winter uniforms, are the heart of the Glorian army. They deny their enemies advancements, as well as preventing them from properly using cavalry.

The cavalry

The lightly armored Cavalry often used for reconnaissance or rushing the enemy lines often provides the necessary rush needed for the Glorian army to advance

THE KNIGHTS

The heavily armored, elite Glorian knights provide formidable defense, ability to hold the line, as well as ability to break the enemy's defenses down slowly. They are mainly consisting of wealthy veterans as well as practically experienced soldiers. There is very few of them.

Geography

Located on the south-western continent of Glortica/Sundara.

It stands in its snowy mountains, savannas, plains and jungles. It has a relatively warm climate with harsh, cold winters.
