Headman Tjongo Awamab and Henry Westcroft remained with their men in Asatoa.
Meanwhile, the Kaptein decided to pursue the fleeing Somotho to the east in the fog, which was a dangerous decision.
Fortunately, they were not attacked on the way and eventually came across a river with another village in the distance, where the lights still burned.
They crossed the river and attacked it the same way they attacked Asatoa. However, this time they only met little resistance. Those who stayed were captured or killed.
It seemed like the Somotho had exhausted any strength they had in the previous battle.
Once the fog cleared, the battle had already ended.
The village was left destroyed with the same flag in the center mocking the Somotho and their dead.
Harakhas named this place after the battle Tomotoa (End of the War) due to it being the last time they will meet armed Somotho resistance in the Gaunais.
