Yesterday morning, merchants rushed into the castle of Norkshaw with alarming news.
They described the horrific scene in Choroba and displayed three corpses of sentient mushrooms to the king. They suspected that the mushrooms were responsible for the deaths in the village.
More importantly, the fields in Choroba that were intended to feed Norkshaw had been completely ruined, leaving the kingdom with little food reserve for the winter.
The king urges the villagers to ration their food stocks and prepare for a harsh and prolonged winter.
