Youth

Madeleine van Steenhof spent most of her youth in the South Bloemendaal palace. Served by servants at home and protected by guards when outside, resulting in never having experienced labour of any kind, expecting to be served by any beneath her and getting used to things going her way.

At the age of 10, Madeleine van Steenhof took up her parents' jobs as Head Diplomat of Bloemendaal and General of the city guard, gained a seat in the Stadsraad and recieved the title of Marquise, after losing her parents in an extremist peasant uprising. Later on becoming a trusted advisor to the king at the age of 17.

Maidelaine is often percieved by fellow aristocrats as kind and charming. Though those of the lowerclass that get to meet her often percieve her as rude and self absorbed.

Madelaine is often seen wearing her hair in an extravagant way, her clothes are made of shining foreign silks with golden details, she usually wears make up like the current court fashion and is almost always seen accompanied by servants at all times.

Madeleine van Steenhof is of the belief that society should at all times be divided between the lower peasant class and the upper noble class, sometimes going to extreme lengths to not have to interact with those of the lower class while on her way to other parts of the city.
