'Fox Kid' is an fox-hybrid orphan who recently caught the attention of locals by settling near the borders of the Technate of Koperdam on a cherry forest. No one really knows where she came from. Locals often spot her darting through the outskirts, but whenever anyone tries to follow her 'home,' she vanishes into the wilderness without a trace, leaving nothing behind.

History

Early life

'Fox Kid,' or her birth name 'Haruko,' her life unfortunately began in tragedy. While her mother was pregnant with her, her mother's tribe was brutally attacked while traveling across Aquila. Her mother managed to escape into the wild just in time to give birth. She raised Haruko and protected her until the child was about one year old, but tragically passed away from a sudden illness.

Left completely alone in the wilderness, infant Haruko was discovered by a pack of wild foxes. Rather than harming her, the pack adopted her as one of their own, raising and sheltering her in a cherry forest just outside Koperdam.

Life in Aquila

Growing up primarily with animals, 'Fox Kid' spent her early years learning the ways of the wild rather than civilization. She spent her days hunting with her 'family,' dodging other predators, and roaming the cherry forests with her fox family.

As she grew older, finding food became harder for the pack. Driven by necessity, 'Fox Kid' began creeping closer to human settlements. At first, it was just her scavenging for anything, but it quickly evolved into her snakingly stealing from farms and travelers.

Appearance & Behavior

Appearance

Standing at just 3'6" tall, 'Fox Kid' has an extremely thin and malnourished body. She dresses in a simple white dress worn beneath a gray coat and a faded pink scarf, both of which she inherited from her late mother. She has orange hair, green eyes, and a fox tail and ears tipped with white. Unfortunately, her left wrist was broken at some point and healed incorrectly, leaving her in constant, dull pain and unable to grip anything heavier than light objects. To support the old injury, her left hand is always wrapped in faded cloth.

Behavior

Because of her upbringing, she acts somewhat feral and struggles to communicate with others. While she can speak a little bit of broken common tongue, she heavily prefers to communicate through noises. She also has absolutely no concept of property and will unknowingly steal from people without realizing she's doing anything wrong. Though she is deeply confused by civilization most of the time, she is fiercely protective of her pack and is genuinely a sweetheart once you manage to earn her trust.

Abilities / Skills

• As part of the Sorokodomo species, she possesses exceptional hearing, night vision, and an incredible sense of smell. Her fox nature makes her naturally fast, and like other beastkins, she can shift into a partial or full animal form. The other form grants her a boost in speed and physical strength that surpasses the average human. However, because her senses are so hyper-sensitive, she can easily get overwhelmed in loud or chaotic environments, which leads to sensory overload and massive headaches for her.
