| |
|
A Wood Elf looks different depending on where they are from but there are acceptations like an elf from the dark forests that have the appearance of a Taiga elf.

| |
|
| |
| * Common Forest (+Flower) The base of all Elves. They are the oldest variant of Wood Elf and are the hardest to find. They usually have the neutral tones of browns for hair, eyes and clothing but they do enjoy their greens and rare pops of colors similar to how you'd find flowers in a forest but don't let their personal colors distract you as they usually have a colorful personality. The Flower variants are dressed in bright colors or even rainbow. They are known as the dye and mead masters of the elves.
| |
| * Birch (+Old Growth & Cherry) They are similar to a Common Forest elf but they wear more pastel neutral tones and have the more golden hair/eye colors.
| |
| * Taiga (+Old Growth, Snowy & Grove) This variant is adapted to the cold. They are built bigger than any wood elf species, similar to a sun bear compared to a black bear. They wear furs of the local fauna they hunt but the closer you get to the snowy regions they also where visors to protect their eyes from the snow. Their hair and eye color are cold tones.
| |
| * Dark Forest (+Pale Garden) This variant takes a more monochromatic style. They wear mid gray to black clothing in the dark forests but their pale cousins wear white to mid gray. They're thought of as the "Villains" of this race when really they are the most docile, helpful and careful of them all despite their enjoyment of isolation and spooking those they do come across. Their eyes don't help their "evil" title as they are big and usually dilated like a cat's eye due to their dark environment.
| |
| * Jungle (+Sparse & Bamboo) These Elves are the second big elves. They are more agile than the others of their race as well. They dress more in beach like wear as anything loose fitting or "normal" would get caught on vines or bamboo that they swing/sling from. They're a more mid ground tone of colors between the Dark and Common Elves.
| |
| * Mangrove These elves have more muddy tones or maybe it's because they are covered in mud but they are also known for their deeper green color palette and usually hoard the frogs. Their eyes are more richer colors.
| |
| * Wooded Badlands This variant is a close relative to the Common Forest Elf but due to the clay and desert their colors are more warmer toned. They are the most mixed blends of the Elves due to most getting lost in the deserts so you'll find a Dark Forest elf or a Birch elf with colors or even mannerisms of a Jungle or Mangrove elf.
| |
| * Nether (Crimson & Warped) These elves are rare to the point they are believed to be a myth and each one acts different, believe differently and even dress differently. Most where gold while others might wear quartz or wear purple clothing(a mix of both forest dyes). They are the most hostile of the elves due to the hostile environment they live in but you might get lucky with only a warning.

| |
|
Each Variant have different cultures but the more commonly shared cultural belief is: The Earth and Wilds are our home. We protect it, Take and replace what's taken, and never doubt another's experiences. They also are great botanists and herbalists which they either know both traits or just one of them as it's a required skill for them all.

| |
|
Their lifespans are triple times longer than a human's. They can live up to 240yrs at most but start visibly once they hit 50-100yrs depending on the variant(e.g. Taiga elves start visibly aging after 100yrs due to the cold while Common elves start visually aging at 50yrs.). Nether variants live for 260yrs and start visibly aging after 130yrs due to the hellscape.

| |
|
Magical prowess
All Wood Elves are able to camouflage and use Botanokinesis(plant manipulation) as it's both their way of living and their way of getting around in certain biomes. The Common Forest elves abuse their ability of Botanokinesis as that's they way of getting flowers, honey or dyes in mass. However, Dark Forest Elves aren't able to use Botanokinesis in their home Biome due to how dark the forests are(Pale Garden Elves don't have this issue).
