In-universe date: Era Nova, May--June, Year 2
Real-world date: 16 August 2026
Author: Harakhas Gomas
The Kaptein remained in Dorurams for three days.
When he prepared to leave, he noticed a stranger approaching one of the gates. He called out to them, relieved to discover that they were not Khasholo.
To his surprise, the stranger was the same person who had come to rest in Hais!am the previous year.
His name was Percival van der Berg, and he had travelled from a place called Koperdam. He had come to deliver his gratitude to the Kaptein, along with a map.
The map depicted the known world, which Percival called Aquila. He had personally explored much of it.
Harakhas was astonished by the scale of the world. His people had known little of what existed beyond the massive seas surrounding their homeland. Now they knew that there was a far greater world beyond them.
He was also surprised to learn that the Kuri//aes were situated near the centre of Aquila.
However, Harakhas was not pleased to discover that the Khasholo were also located at the centre of the world.
He warned Percival about them, explaining that the Khasholo were dangerous and should not be trusted, even during times of peace.
In gratitude for the map and the knowledge Percival had brought, Harakhas presented him with two Sniffer Eggs.
As they prepared to depart, the Kaptein noticed a large white squid nearby.
To his amazement, Percival was able to ride the creature.
And it could fly.
Harakhas was astonished, but remained cautious of the strange creature and the dangers it might possess. He had never encountered anything like it before.
Unfortunately, Percival could provide little information about the creature himself. He only knew that he had discovered it and watered it.
Still filled with curiosity, Harakhas departed for Orutogams while Percival continued his journey to deliver his map.
