AquilaPRJ Server Rules & Guidelines
Comprehensive code of conduct, community guidelines, and technical regulations for the AquilaPRJ Minecraft server, Discord, and associated spaces.
Scope & Authority: These rules apply to both our Discord and Minecraft servers, and by extension any content associated with AquilaPRJ, such as nation or religion Discord servers. Staff have the authority to issue any form of punishment to users for any reason if the situation calls for such methods. AquilaPRJ-adjacent servers will be taken into consideration when investigating a particular user, though staff will not go out of their way to moderate the whole server unless they happen to come across something on their own or receive a report. Applicants must be 16 or older; any applicants not meeting the age requirement will be denied immediately.
Profile & Presentation
- Discord Nickname: All server members must set their Discord nickname to their in-roleplay character's name, and it is encouraged to have your IGN displayed there too.
- In-Game Identity: In-game, it is standard for your nickname to be your character's name.
- Imagery Restrictions: Your server profile should not contain any offensive or inappropriate imagery.
- Nation Tags: Nation tags or nicknames in-game cannot be hard to read or contain special fonts. Nation tags should either be three colors or a gradient.
User Behavior & Communication
- Respectful Discourse: Aquila users are encouraged to engage in respectful, thought-provoking conversations. Actively trying to antagonize, belittle, make fun of, or provoke others, or making light of serious real-life events is behavior staff will not tolerate.
- Sensitive & Adult Topics: To avoid limiting general language, players are allowed to partake in otherwise controversial conversation topics (e.g., politics) or sensitive/adult topics. Sexual or pornographic conversations are strictly banned. Topics about past trauma or disabilities are allowed.
- Content Warnings: Before engaging in sensitive topics, ensure everyone in the call or chatroom is aware and comfortable, and properly tag/spoiler your text messages.
- AI Ban: Any form of AI usage will result in immediate punishment.
Characters & Lore
- Mandatory Character: Having a character is mandatory for all players.
- Main & Secondary Characters: Players are allowed one main active character and a secondary character for downtime activities, lore expansion, or plot lines.
- Unified Focus: All roleplay, writing, geopolitical, and character-building aspects must share one focus. Specific roles, war/politics participation, and in-roleplay ownership of structures/materials are tied exclusively to your active character.
- NPCs & Exploitation: NPCs are allowed in character posts or as setup for future characters. Switching between characters to benefit yourself personally is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
Griefing & Theft
- Strictly Prohibited: Going out of your way to deliberately annoy or disturb the average user experience is heavily looked down upon and will not be tolerated.
- Punishable Actions: Destroying member structures or items, stealing, moving items around or taking them without explicit permission, and building structures within unowned territory with the intent to harass or hinder are treated as griefing.
- Theft Exception: The only exception to stealing is if items placed in chests, barrels, shulkers, etc., have gone untouched for 3 months or longer, and the original owners are inactive or have left the server.
Hacking & Modifications
The usage of mods or texture packs that actively give an edge in combat or resource gathering is prohibited. Specifically banned modifications include:
- X-Ray texture packs or mods.
- Player Health Bars.
- Village Trade Brute-Force.
- Toolbar Refill mods.
- Inventory tabs.
Exploitation & Bugs
- Bug Usage: Repeated usage of known or unknown in-game bugs goes against the server's spirit and is forbidden.
- Banned Methods: Chunk loaders, TNT or item duplication, and fast-travel portal chaining are strictly prohibited.
- CoreProtect Breaches: Using CoreProtect data to break into or enter someone's structures for any reason counts as exploitation.
- Nether Roof: Purposefully attempting to access the nether roof results in instant death, and lost items will not be returned.
Harassment & Territory
- Toxic Behavior: Aquila is meant to be welcoming; active toxicity, stalking, repeated kills, or lingering after being told to leave are considered harassment.
- Prohibited Actions: Purposefully wasting people's time, bullying, rage-baiting, or using degrading language to offend others is forbidden.
- Discrimination: Discrimination of any kind regarding disabilities, religion, sexuality, or race is strictly banned.
- Territory Rule: You cannot ask a user to leave your territory if they are merely passing by or checking it out out of curiosity. You may only request they leave if it becomes clear they have ulterior motives.
Recruitment & Cartelization
- Recruitment Window: Members should not recruit applicants before they have been accepted into the server, adjusted, explored, and formed connections organically.
- Cartelization Prevention: Deliberate formation of insular communities based on real-life or outside-server friendships is monitored. If players refuse to step outside their circles, staff may intervene and request members to split up or move to separate nations.
- Large Groups: Groups of 10 or more players wishing to join should open a ticket first to discuss integration with staff.
Language, Claims, & Alt Accounts
- Slurs & Hate Speech: Slurs of any kind are strictly banned and prohibited regardless of whether an individual claims to be 'allowed' to say them.
- Map Claims: Channel maps are player-made guidelines used for territory disputes and monitoring by staff. Land ownership is exclusively determined by reasonable development.
- Alternative Accounts: Using alt accounts to apply and join under a false identity is considered disingenuous and results in bans for both accounts. Alt accounts for streaming or similar purposes require staff notice.
Filing Reports & Tickets
If you witness a rule break, you can open a ticket or DM an available staff member. Opening a ticket is preferred as it keeps information organized.
Evidence Requirement: Staff do not operate on word-of-mouth. You must provide concrete evidence such as screenshots, chatlogs, CoreProtect data, or video recordings.
