Description

The Shae are a type of Fey. They're humanoid creatures who enjoy playing pranks and tricks on people. Like is like a constant performance for them, and as such, their faces are always hidden by magical masks. None have seen the true face of a Shae. Rumors say that witnessing one unmasked would bring upon horrible luck! It's not known where the Shae come from, as their general population is scattered all around the world.

While they are generally very playful, curious and mischievous, the Shae are not inherently evil creatures.

Culture

Shae culture revolves around creativity, storytelling, music, comedy, and performance. Masks are extremely important to their society, with different designs representing personality, history, occupation, or status. Pranks and performances are common, but cruelty is generally frowned upon. Shae appreciate cleverness, creativity, loyalty, and keeping promises that might have been made.

Lifespan

The Shae mature at around the same rate that a human does, but they generally live longer than humans do. Their average lifespan is between 100 to 150 years.

Abilities

Physical prowess

Due to the fact that the Shae place a great importance to their ability to perform, most Shae are very quick on their feet, agile and dexterous. While not physically as strong as most of their enemies, they are able to quickly adapt to a situation and turn their opponents strength against them.

Mental prowess

Th Shae are highly intelligent creatures. They posses excellent deduction and perception skills, being able to adapt to almost any situation within a moments notice.

Magical prowess

Being Fey, Shae are very drawn to magic, and are naturally talented with illusion and conjuration spells. They also have a greater affinity for dark magic.
