The Faith of Shahlal centers around the god, Shahlal, who teaches his followers that peace is the most viable and righteous option, and encourages them to create, not to destroy. Most of his believers are more concerned with self-improvement and worldly possessions, as it is believed by the followers of Shahlal that mortality is a gift, and an eternity of life is a curse given upon those who are with endless power.

Primordial Gods

Shahlal

Shahlal is the god of the endless cosmos, and seen as the "Chief God" of the religion. He originated in the "Cradle of Divinity", when light and darkness clashed, and the primordial forces of life separated. From this womb of the early universe, they and many, many others just like themself formed. In their greed for more power and control over the vast swathes of incoherent ever-shifting void, they murdered each other to near extinction. Atop the corpses of their fallen siblings, Shahlal emerged as the sole inheritor of the universe. Through his trials and tribulations, he became wise and hardened, and learned to control his temper after thousands of years of meditation. He teaches his followers that violence should only be used as a last resort, and cooperation and peace are much more moral and effective than brutality and war.

Shahlal created the universe by separating the light and the darkness and mixing the primordial forces. Islands of light formed in the vast oceans of void and darkness. These "stars" were giant monoliths, orbs of light radiating into the abyss. A beautiful reminder of the values of peace and the tragedies of war. But as he looked upon his beautiful cosmos, he saw nothing but endless labyrinthine mazes of black and white. Its beauty stunned him, but he realized alone it was worthless. So he recreated the early universe and its womb, and there spawned the "High Gods". Lesser versions of the Primordial Gods, but with the same intelligence. His creations took from him and created their own, and reproduced with godly "Offspring" known as "Low Gods". These new gods, in a world with so many others became creators of increasingly more niche creations, but in Shahlal's eyes, so long as a creation brings peace and prosperity, it is equal to any other.

High Gods

Daahan

Daahan was the first high god and the first "Child" to be created by Shahlal. He saw his creator's great work, spread all across the endless cosmos, and he viewed it with mild envy. But his creator had taught him to control his anger and to instead use this energy to create and thrive. So he took the light and the dark and the primordial forces, and mixed and matched them until he had made a creation he could touch, one he could not phase through nor only process in the manifolds of his mind. It was not light, nor was it darkness. It was neither greed nor generosity, it was a perfectly neutral state of existence. From his creation, his brothers and sisters would prosper and thrive through cooperation. His creation is the basis for everything more complex than black and white that Kobold or Man can witness. He created stone and rock, and melded them into rough spheres, but other than that, his creation was empty.

Shakaal

Shakaal was the second high god and the second "Child" to be created by Shahlal. When he saw the creations of his brother, he was amazed. He saw it with awe and wonder, and knew he must take the opportunity to create something that was his own. He molded together the "gray matter" that his brother had created, until he had created a new form of the matter Daahan had created. One that would flow and roll, one that would mold together and just as easily be separated. He had created water, and with it he covered half of the larger orb of stone that Daahan had formed near an island of light. It molded to the lowest surfaces of the planet and gave it some life other than the dreary, endless sea of gray that had once been the entirety of Daahan's creation.

Eshurlak

Eshurlak was the third high god and the third "Child" to be created by Shahlal. As a youngling, he saw the water and the stone of the new "Earth", and found it utterly boring. It lacked any interesting features that could satisfy his thirst for novelty. His idea was an even newer form of matter, one that, instead of flowing like water, or staying steadfast like stone, flew above the water and the earth, and circled the planet, pushing objects around it as it went. The force it carried he would call "Wind" and its flesh he would name "Air". It would push and pull against the water and slam pebbles and dust around. And with it and the water, the stone near the shores began to erode, and become sand. From his creation he felt proud, and he would wish to do more. But the continuation of the earth's creation was not his to finish.

Mihara

Mihara was the first high goddess and the fourth "Child" to be created by Shahlal. When she had matured, all of the work done on the earth seemed lackluster to her. It was a generous creation to the universe, but it lacked what the gods had. Life. She took from the stone, and the water, and the air, and covered the land and the depths of the ocean in green moss and grass. The moss and grass ate away at the stone and mixed with the air and created dirt. From this she planted saplings of trees that rose to touch the clouds, and carpeted the oceans in algae.
