Undead are creatures which haunt the world even after death. Whether they are brought here by dark magic or spreading plagues, is irrelevant.
Basic Description
There's a large variety of undead. Zombies, the Withered, ghosts, etc. Fundamentally, they all act the same. What was once a proper living creature, failed to pass on into the afterlife, and now their soul inhabits a body not meant to continue on living.

Culture
Undead on their own don't possess a specific culture. It's very likely that whatever they were previously in life, stuck with them after death, which would mean their prior background and culture would still be what influences them the most.
Lifespan
Undead are functionally immortal. While they can be killed if they sustain fatal injuries, they do not age, and cannot be infected with diseases, as their condition itself is like a disease on it's own. Different types of undead can survive for variable amounts of time.
