Anemic Sentinel is a now insignificant stretch of land perched between the Kingdom of Arkemorth and the Circle of the Sūle Starhood. It is believed to be an ancient outpost with a provincial role to a fallen Kingdom. The only known inhabitants are immigrants.

History
Role in the past
With signs of battle, fortified structures and paved roads that have stood the test of time it might have been a significant waypoint on a pilgrimage route and outpost. Lacking evidence for a sovereign state, the Sentinel could have been governed by large Kingdom that lays in ruins now.
Parent Kingdom
With no existing nation ruling over enough land to require an outpost of the Sentinels size, logically it too must have fallen to ruin. When the influence of the parent subsided and internal struggles arose the Sentinel must have been left to fend for itself. Abandoned by the crown it was left to rot and fade to gray. Though it is possible that there are remains or descendants of the ancient parent kingdom no one claims rulership of the outpost. With further investigation connections to far away lands sharing the same past might be drawn.
Name
All account of the original names were lost over the many generations since the downfall of the parent kingdom. Its current descriptive name Anemic Sentinel stuck with the few people still talking about it. Although "anemic" is commonly used as a term for lack of blood (an- meaning without, -emia meaning presence of blood. Anemia: without presence of blood) in the living the name caught on. Just as an anemic person is lifeless and pale, the area is long past its prime and stale in color.
Culture
Much is to be rediscovered in this seldom traversed hinterland.
Political system
Anemic Sentinel is in Anarchy and only follows the law of the strongest. With the only population being outcasts and branded fugitives anything is permissive as long as it secures ones survival. Living in and reusing the ruins that are partially still standing as giant monuments, the people will inevitable inherit some of the sentinels culture over time. Generally the Anemic Sentinel is avoided by most travellers who still have something to loose.
Merchants
No merchants are known up to this point.
Calendar
Akin to stacking stones a physical calendar was used in the past to keep track of time. However, old dates were lost and eroded. With the rise of a Era Nova every year a monolith can be placed in an ongoing spiral for generations to come.
