Spirit
Spirits of the damned who refuse to enter the eternal slumber…
Description
Spirits are a specific variant of Undead creatures. Ghosts or spirits do not have a proper body. While they may be able to interact with their environment, they struggle to be grounded in reality. As such, their physical form can shift in between the realm of the dead, and the realm of the living. Spirits are guided solely by their will to exist, and if that will is extinguished, the spirit would typically disappear. They do not need to eat, sleep or drink thanks to their condition.
Culture
Most spirits on their own don't possess a specific culture. It's very likely that whatever they were previously in life, stuck with them after death, which would mean their prior background and culture would still be what influences them the most.
Lifespan
Spirits are not affected by natural aging. They are at their strongest when they first come into existence, but most continue to ‘live’ for about another 50 to 70 years. On occasion, a spirits life can be cut short if they achieve their goals and their mind reaches a state of peace.
Abilities
Physical prowess
Spirits lack a lot of physical strength. When they first come into the world of the living, they may struggle to retain their form, and only by strengthening their will to survive, can they continue to grow their ability to exist. They are very very weak to holy magic, and can be easily exorcised when the right magic is used.
Mental prowess
A spirits mental prowess can vary heavily from spirit to spirit. What guides them are their memories and whatever little will they may have to survive. Take away their will and their memories, and their mental stability will take an immediate decline.
Magical prowess
Spirits have a particular affinity for magics used to commune with the dead. Generally though, they are largely able to utilise all forms of magic, as long as they can hold onto the needed components.
