Childhood

Alexandre Vasconcelos was born in Alvira in the year 27 of Era Vetus, being the only living son of Count Rui Vasconcelos of Alvira. In his youth, he dedicated himself to studying economics and administration at the court of Almoraz, alongside D. Duarte I Valença, becoming his best friend and, later, right-hand man.

Early life

After his father's death, Alexandre Vasconcelos assumed the title of Count of Alvira at the age of 22. Together with D. Duarte I Valença, he developed the County of Alvira, leading the glorious projects of agricultural and industrial development in the region, thus saving the kingdom from a period of famine that lasted for decades. Furthermore, his role in the commercialization of Alvira, combined with the administrative acumen of D. Duarte I Valença, was fundamental to the economic enrichment of the region, making Alvira one of the main trading centers of the Kingdom.

Life in Aquila

He currently remains the main right-hand man and friend of D. Duarte I Valença and continues with projects to promote economic development in his county, as well as projects to strengthen the military, mainly in the navy.
