The Mühn Prosperity is situated in an ancient tidal forest shaped by eons of isolation. The nation is defined by towering groves, fish weirs, silt farms, and primeval waterways. This unique ecosystem harbors flora and fauna found nowhere else, and has shaped her people into master cultivators of the land and water alike. Viewing themselves as stewards, not owners, of the land has led to a complex political and land ownership system.

Culture

Theology

If it can be called a religion, Mühn's spiritual tradition, called rena, is a blend of pantheism and ancestor worship that permeates every aspect of life. They believe all Mühna share a single collective consciousness, with certain individuals holding greater influence. This influence is magnified after death, so every pursuit (craft, scholarship, governance, or war) is treated as an opportunity to leave a lasting mark and preserve yourself as a patron ren.

Technology

The Mühn Prosperity is a technological powerhouse that is held back by the very thing that makes it great. Their rena fuels a feverish pursuit of knowledge but provides no ambition. Many innovations remain siloed in their various fields, viewed as niche or curiosities beyond their single use-case. Mühna don't shun outside technology from a place of fear or pride, but they do prefer their way of doing things – leading to novel, but not always optimal, engineering. This philosophy leads to their own becoming ren, rather than nameless outsiders.

Architecture

Stemming from novel construction methods, Mühn's architecture is characterized as highly organic and imperfect. Towers are squat, cisterns bulge, and structures meld. Exteriors are typically finished in thick, hand-packed layers of white cob, giving the impression of forms grown rather than measured and assembled.
