Wiki Guide
Wiki Guide for Dummies
In order for players to have an easier time using & navigating the official Aquila wiki, staff have made a dedicated guide on how to do so. This document will be updated over time to include new information regarding the wiki, and should contain all the information needed for new users to learn how to use the wiki properly & to its full potential.
1. Creating an Account
When making your account, you will first be met with this page. All you really need is a username & a password. Everything else is optional! However, staff highly encourage players to add their email to their account so it is easier for you to log back in, in case you forget your passwords.
2. How to Make Your Own Page
You can make a new page by simply going to the search tab on the wiki and typing in the title that you want your page to have. For example, if you want to make a page for your nation, type in the full nation title!
From here, click the title you’ve typed in, which should be highlighted in red.
You now have your page ready for editing!
3. Using Templates
Once you’ve made your page, you might want to use some of the preset templates available. You can access them by pressing the ‘insert’ button, and then choosing the ‘templates’ option!
Once you see the popup, type in ‘infobox’ into the search box, and you can select one of the available templates!
4. How to Categorize
First, you should familiarize yourself with all the currently available categories, which you can find on the main directory!
Once you’ve done that, you can then add any of the existing categories to your post by pressing the three dashes on the right side of the screen.
Type in the name of the category and add it like this!
5. How to Upload Pictures
First things first, you need to go to our tools tab, which should always be visible while you’re on the wiki. It’ll sit on the middle left of your screen. From there, click the link which states ‘upload file’.
And then simply upload your image there! If you want to then paste the image anywhere else, you should copy the file name you got from the upload! And if you can’t find / remember the file title, you can find it through Special:ListFiles.
