Description

Aquatic Folk are a variant of Beastkin. Their bloodline still vary, but every aquatic folk creature has the blood of an aquatic animal. Eels, jelly fish, whales, etc. Many mistake them for demi-humans, but they are in fact, more animal than human. Magic courses through their blood, granting them the ability to change their shape into whatever aquatic lifeforms bloodline they are a part of. All Aquatic Folk live exclusively near water, or in deep oceans.

Culture

Aquatic Folk do not have one streamlined culture. Depending on the continent or nation they may reside in or be born in, their customs, religious beliefs and languages will vary drastically from one another.

Lifespan

Aquatic Folk live for around 60 to 80 years.

Abilities

Physical prowess

Aquatic Folk have the ability to shift their form into some sort of aquatic animal. On top of that, they are able to breathe underwater regardless of their form. They make for excellent explorers and hunters in most bodies of water, and thrive in more humid areas such as swamps and jungles. They are generally physically stronger than human.

Mental prowess

An Aquatic Folk's cognition is most often the same, if not better, than the average human's.

Magical prowess

Aquatic Folk are capable of all kinds of magic, but they have a particularly strong affinity for water related magical arts.
