The Fungal Crisis

As the harsh winter approached the village of Norkshaw, hunger followed.
Villagers were left with little to nothing to eat as a result of the sentient mushrooms ruining the crop in Choroba causing starvation and weakness in what was a once thriving village.
Local botanists researched the three corpses that had been previously found in Choroba and found that they were actually edible, albeit poorly tasting, giving new hope to the malnourished villagers.
After the discovery of the edible nature of these mushrooms, the king organised groups of soldiers to go and collect reserves of these mushrooms to help them get through the winter.
Thankfully the kingdom has been slowly but surely mending as a result of the small mushrooms.
