The Demeralian populace, who have spent the winter barely surviving, all tuned into the Council meeting, eagerly awaiting the result. Not only had the councillors arrived, but the Mayors, and their advisors, as well. Over the course of 3 days, Coronado awaited the result of the meeting.
Eventually, the Mayors departed for the final time, and Governor Stella Heartwood stood outside.
Radical changes had come to Coronado.
The recent months had proven to everyone that the current system of governance was unsustainable and ineffective. Towns were bickering, while everyone was starving.
Which is why the towns and Governor had come together, and drafted the Foundational Articles of Coronado, a document defining the new governance of the nation.
The power structure of the nation has been redefined. While the towns were powerful beforehand, the lack of power in the Governor's office placed a roadblock on negotiations between them. Now, provinces have been redefined as crucial parts of the framework of the country, who will solve the problems between the towns, and if not possible, will go to the council.
The Articles stand to create a new, and better, Coronado.
