Klovis Conyratus is an influential politician from the Tryhaugen Republic. His rise to popularity and political power are the result of his immaculate charisma and reform promises. Some could say, however, that Klovis’ success in politics has been a bit too easy.

Biography & History
Early Life
Klovis was born and raised in the swamp slums of the Sylvanian Peninsula in Tamarisk. For years this community, built poorly into the swamp, had been the heart of poverty in the Tryhaugen Republic. Klovis was of illegitimate birth, and his mother did everything in her power to care for Klovis until she passed away from an illness when he was nine. An easily curable illness, Klovis came to realize, but most medicine was inaccessible in the swamps.
From his teens to early adulthood, Klovis joined street gangs, robbed, and even supported a handful of murders. When no one was watching Klovis, however, he would steal books and literature and read what he could find. Mostly historic texts of the lengthy history of the Tryhaugen Republic. Klovis especially took an interest in Severus Cassius, the kingdom’s founder before it became a republic.
In Klovis’ early adulthood, he was caught in a direct murder by lawmen during a gang altercation. Klovis fled, later changing his name to Klovis Conyratus to avoid arrest. No one knows Klovis’ original name, or that he even had an original name.
Rise to Prominence
Klovis moved to the northern Sylvanian Peninsula during his adulthood. His early life had taught him the art of deception. Talking to the right people and saying the right things had allowed Klovis to work his way up the ranks of society while acquiring the trust of those he conversed with.
In his free time, Klovis continued to read literature, which he had much more ample access to now. In all the knowledge of the world he has gained, Severus Cassius is still Klovis’ highest interest and he takes great inspiration after him. Klovis believes that with such chaos in the world, he can recreate what Cassius accomplished by using the chaos to his advantage.
Personality & Appearance
Klovis has brown curly hair and a kingly beard. He presents himself as an easy person to talk to and a great conversationalist, but his dark eyes have a strange emptiness in them.
Klovis is often seen wearing the silk attire of a noble and donning a maroon cape around one shoulder.

Massimo Re
Klovis has met Massimo Re a handful of times at political conventions and galas in the capital. Klovis respects Massimo Re and believes the Tryhaguen Republic will grow immensely under his presidency, and Klovis hopes to support it.
Roulette
Klovis has mixed feelings about Roulette. He does not believe the trickster is qualified to govern a province, let alone lead the Republic’s military. But Roulette has proven himself a good ally to Klovis by carrying out an assassination against one of Klovis’ political rivals. It could be the start of a ‘partnership’ of sorts between the two.
