At the Kurib Trading Post and Station, a mysterious book was found.

It was brought to the Kaptein.

The book claimed to be from Serriaes, yet there was no author.

It had the title "A Warning to the People".

And it warned about the black gates.

Two more were found in Coroniaes and the book suggests that new ones have been appearing.

Harakhas also recalls a portal which has grown at Lake Haeva near Hubganda. It was there before but smaller. Now it is larger and includes dark-red brick structure.

The Khasholo could not have built this.

Meanwhile, the portal in Dorurams remained small and inactive ever since they discovered it.

They have even started to utilise the seemingly eternally burning fire.

The Awamab had encased the portal in copper, maybe thats why it did not grow...

Another thing mentioned in the book was the creature of scorched flesh that came out of the portal. The Kaptein himself had seen it in Khetiaes. The creature was just as described and appeared friendly until it was attacked by certain guards.

And whats interesting: The creature came with the purest gold.

There could only be two reasons for that:

1. It wanted to lure people for malicious reasons.

2. It wanted to conduct trade.

Harakhas was left pondering what the portals could mean. He still is not convinced that they are an inherent danger to all. And besides, the Kuriaes had fought against uglier creatures, like the Khasholo.

However, even if they were dangerous, he would not turn to Khetiaes for help. He was left quite disappointed by the fact that they hid what they knew until recently. It made them very suspicious.

What might help would be good spiritual and ancestral connections! After all, copper is considered a metal crafted by spirits in Kuriaes.

Maybe there is some merit to the copper-encased Dorurams-portal...
