Turns out "go find quests" involves more traveling than I was emotionally prepared for.

Spent the day in a few places I've genuinely never set foot in before, which, for someone who makes a living knowing things, is a bit of an embarrassing gap in my knowledge. Apparently nations exist outside of wherever I personally choose to be standing. Groundbreaking information. Someone should write that down.

So falling asleep in some boat probably wasn't the best of ideas I've come up with, but I guess it turned out fine, well, other than the fact that in the end I ended up on a whole other continent, which if you ask me is impressive to pull off twice now...

In the end I ended up wandering around for a good few (many) hours with nothing coming up nor me finding anyone. I stumbled into a settlement where I met a man; he was confused about my getup and the whole mask thing. He invited me in and told me about how he was from a continent far outside what these nations know, he told me how they had come here to "get another chance at life"—his words, not mine.

“So, sir, if I may ask, could you please explain where you came from? And for what reason?” Józef said calmly while offering me a cigarette.

“Thanks," "Um well, don't laugh okay?" "So here I was mindfully sleeping on a ship that i totally paid for... anyway, so i ended up falling asleep and well after god knows how long the boat landed in a harbor down south from here, and as you can guess i ended up here after again god knows how fucking long of me just walking and walking... you know, I was having a good pay until this kid i know (well, my co-owner) told me to do shit, can you believe that?!” I said while somehow taking a drag of the cig.

“How… curious. Do you require anything? A place to sleep the night, medical attention? Sustenance? I am able to provide you… some of that,” Józef says, slightly squinting at my story. “All I know is we can’t provide for you for free, at least for too long. We all need the bread, after all,” he adds.

"Oh nono," "I don't need food, I got my own thingy for that," I say as I pull out an ender-chest. "I carry all the things I need in my magic cube." "Though a bed to rest in would be nice." "Wait, did you just call me mentally ill?? Why do people keep calling me that?"

“I do not recall saying that, but apologies if I came off that way. You should feel free to spend the night in the barracks. I'm Kataczyk, by the way. Józef,” he said, reaching out his hand for me to shake.

"Oh yeah, wait, I never gave you my name, huh... " "I'm Fool, I'm with The Guild." "I am guessing you were the one that Hayami was nagging me about," I say while taking his hand and shaking it slightly longer than necessary.

“The guild? So you’re the people I’ve contacted about the future station, isn’t that grand. Then I’ll gladly accommodate you, fine sir.”
