After the ascendancy of Stella Heartwood to the Governorship, the people remain cautiously optimistic. Peace has been restored, but the Coronadan Rangers create the threat of centralization, ever present.
Coronadan authors, journalists, and landowners, on the other hand, have viewed recent developments with opportunity. Decentralization has never been a big issue for these groups, but what is has been is the lack of development and infrastructure, especially outside of Demeralia. As such, these groups have coaclesed into what they're calling the Unionists.
Unionists, primarily based in Demeralia, advocate for infrastructure and project development, ahead of all things, including centralization, and human life. Among these groups, a central, influential idea has popped up, Great Falls.
A hypothetical capital city, it would include every aspect of Coronadan society into its very fabric. Every part of the Coronadan economy would be in one, central place. According to proponents, the benefits would be immense. Coronado would enter into an era of prosperity, never before seen.
The Unionists remain fringe among the general populace, but incredibly influential among the upper classes, the newspapers, and the writers. They may be small, but not at all insignificant. Articles are written, books published, and money spent, to prop up the idea of a Great Falls, and the Unionists. Time will tell whether the Unionists dream comes true.
