Era Nova, Year 1 marks the beginning of the recorded history of Aquila. The year began with the founding of the server on 28 July 2026, as the earliest nations, settlements and peoples began establishing themselves across the world.

Exploration quickly became a defining feature of the new era. Travellers crossed unfamiliar landscapes and seas, discovering distant peoples, strange environments and remnants of a world whose history had largely been forgotten. Meanwhile, the first settlements developed into organised societies, with governments, religions, cultures and ambitious plans for the future beginning to take shape.

The year also saw the first major connections between previously isolated societies. The creation of the first World Map provided nations with a shared understanding of the wider world, while early diplomatic encounters established relationships that would shape the years to come. At the same time, the return of active magic hinted that the world was beginning to change in ways that few could yet understand.

Era Nova, Year 1 therefore represents the foundation of the modern history of Aquila - a year of exploration, settlement, discovery and first contact.
