History

Childhood

Anthony Calabreso grew up in a small town in the eastern part of the Center-West Continent, now modern day Calaveria. He had a relatively normal childhood, but developed an early interest in history, politics, and the ancient civilizations of the region. He was particularly fascinated by old ruins and tales of the past.

Early life

After moving out of his childhood home, Mr. Calabreso traveled overseas to the southern regions to study politics, world history, and archaeology at several prestigious universities. During his studies, he became fascinated by the history of the Empire of Calaveria, an empire that existed out of modern day Calaveria nearly four centuries ago. The empire was once ruled by a now extinct skeleton race alongside the now near-extinct Shae race. It mysteriously collapsed under unknown circumstances nearly two centuries after its formation. The skeleton race was brought to near extinction shortly afterward, eventually disappearing entirely after decades of hybridization with human settlers from distant lands. It remains unknown whether other races contributed to their decline. The Shae, however, were far more fortunate and managed to survive the empire's downfall.

During his years in the south, Anthony became deeply involved in historical research and archaeological expeditions, further developing his interest in Calaveria's ancient past. It was also during this period that he met his future wife. After graduating, Anthony returned north to his homeland in modern day Calaveria.

Unfortunately, shortly after his return, Anthony's mother passed away. Before her death, she revealed a long kept family secret. Her final words explained that Anthony was a direct descendant of Sir Leonardo Calabreso, a skeleton, and the founder of the Empire of Calaveria. Anthony had always wondered why the empire's founder shared his surname, but he finally learned the truth behind the connection. His mother also revealed an ancient prophecy attributed to the final Emperor of Calaveria, that the tenth grandson (Anthony) of the first emperor would one day restore its lost glory.

Determined to prove the prophecy correct, Anthony founded an organization, known as the Great Calaverian Unification Party, that would eventually evolve into a political party known as the Calaverian Liberty Party (CLP) after new members, Arlo Vale and Grey Spade joined. Its primary goal before evolving into the political party we now know today was to reunite the divided states of the Calaverian lands under a single government. In the following months, through peace and war, Anthony's efforts proved successful, and Calaveria was reborn as the Republic of Calaveria. Although the new republic was far smaller than its ancient predecessor, Anthony believes that it is destined to one day reclaim the glory of its ancestor.

Life in Aquila

After successfully creating the new Republic of Calaveria, Anthony began works on industrialization, national unity, and cooperative works with the now slowly re-sprouting population of Shae in the northeast of the nation. In July of Year 2, he ordered the creation of the Council Assembly of Calaveria, a senate-type structure that is consisted of elected officials from each populous region of the republic that manages finances, laws, and other legislative matters. He also ordered the creation of the Minister of Defense and Direction Minister roles, with the Minister of Defense overseeing the Republic’s defensive and offensive military affairs, while the Direction Minister assists in executive leadership, government direction, and establishing the Republic’s priorities, both roles being assigned to his associate, Arlo Vale.

Career

Mr. Calabreso is currently serving as the Republic President of Calaveria. He is responsible for leading the nation and overseeing its government, military, and political affairs. He has also served as the elected Prime Minister of the Calaverian Liberty Party (CLP) since its creation in Year -1. As a prominent figure within Calaverian politics, Anthony has played an active role in shaping the nation's political direction and development. Outside of politics, Anthony is a proud enthusiast of the arts, music, and entertainment, having a strong appreciation for Calaveria's cultural scene.
