Pinark is a Vakaser Kobold returned as Ghoul and the current Vakast of his people. Among them he is considered a great Warlock, not necessarily as a result of exceptional skill but rather a healthy mix of aptitude, charisma and deception.

Physical Features

Already a diminutive figure at the end of his life, undeath has made Pinark an even less impressive sight. His pale green scales are completely dried and shriveled from his time as a corpse. The transformation to ghoulhood has dulled his once yellow eyes, so they

History

Life

Upbringing

Born centuries before Era Nova, Pinark grew up among his people, traveling in the desert from temporary camp to temporary camp unlike present day Vakaser children, who spend their first years in the permanent safety of Amerue. Too young yet to participate in raids, he was set to maintanance duty, which means caring for and cleaning the only two things that warrant such special attention among the Vakaser: arms in the armory and the artifact collection of the Vakast.

Adulthood

When a Vakaser Kobold is not particularly skilled in combat, they are mostly left behind when fighting parties leave the camps and therefore spend all of their energy on learning a trade. In Pinarks case this was leatherworking and tailoring. With advanced age, he could no longer perform this kind of work as his sight and dexterity had deteriorated. Since his mind was the only thing loyal enough to stick around to old age, he instead served the tribe as caretaker of the young, nest warden and advisor to the Vakast in his last decade.

He never partnered with another Kobold and had no children.

Death

He died of exhaustion right before the conquest of Amerue in 177 E.V., but since his return has worked hard to postpone his death a few days in history, attributing it to wounds from the battle, thus giving himself the title "of Amerue".

Undeath

Pinark rose from the desert sands again in 12 E.V. After wandering the desert on his own for a time he came back to tribal life and eventually made it to the position of Vakast by virtue of the wisdom and power his tribespeople assume in venerable age.
