Sir Percival van der Berg is the Chief Artificer of the Technate of Koperdam and a co-founder alongside Sir Henry Westcroft. A renowned cartographer, explorer, inventor, and natural philosopher belonging to House van der Berg, Percival led the first great expeditions across the continent, producing the earliest complete maps of the known land. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a deep adherence to the philosophies of Vormgeloof, his relentless pursuit of knowledge, meticulous observation, and complex copper machinery inventions laid the foundational pillars upon which the Technate's scientific and structural identity was built.

Having experienced the arduous journey of his people through the Gaunasub Desert after being driven from their ancestral homelands in Gaunais by the Somotho, he grew into a direct, honest, and steadfast leader dedicated to securing a future for his tribe. Known for his stubborn resolve and willingness to engage in ambitious trade expeditions—ranging from consulting Serrano miners in Dorurams to navigating political councils in the north - Harakhas fiercely advocates for his people's prosperity, occasionally bringing him into friction with neighboring groups like the Khasholo.
