Era Nova, Year 1 Archived Era

"Thousands of years after the Cataclysm, the peoples of Aquila entered a new age. Nations continued to develop, settlements expanded, and distant peoples began to encounter one another after centuries of isolation."

Year 1 saw considerable development across Aquila. The Technate of Koperdam expanded its infrastructure and began construction of Vestad, while Coronado continued developing its decentralized society. Baylara faced increasing tension surrounding the succession of the Copper Throne following the birth of a second male heir.

Exploration and travel brought several previously isolated civilizations into contact. The Kuri//aes, Serrano, Kheta-Kedet, Coronado, and other societies became increasingly known beyond their own territories, while individuals such as Harakhas Gomas traveled between Kuri//aes settlements and Queen Semet continued contemplating the future of Kheta-Kedet.

Coronado experienced growing internal tensions as relations between Demeralia and Riverston deteriorated following a violent confrontation over supplies, resulting in multiple deaths and further complicating the vacant governorship.

In Asphodel, the investigation of a mysterious creature led to the discovery of unusual fungi and discoloured vegetation. The organisms were connected to an illness affecting local villagers, eventually resulting in the creation of a temporary medicine.

Koperdam's infrastructure continued to advance with the opening of Clockhaven Eastern Station, establishing the Technate's first operational railway between Clockhaven and Vestad. Koperdam Railways was subsequently established to oversee the expansion of the national railway network.

Meanwhile, Percival van der Berg undertook an extensive expedition across unfamiliar territories, documenting the geography, settlements, peoples, and borders he encountered. His survey was later refined by Henry Westcroft, resulting in the creation of the World Map, providing nations across Aquila with their first comprehensive modern geographical reference.

Beyond these events, individuals across Aquila continued establishing settlements, pursuing ambitions, surviving hardships, and shaping the societies around them. Basil Blight, Sylvis Pardali, Rullen Bellfore, Valdemar Hvide, Thabit, Stella Heartwood, Henry Westcroft, Harakhas Gomas, and many others began stories that would extend beyond the first year of the new era.

By the end of Year 1, Aquila was already beginning to change. New settlements stood where there had once been wilderness, nations continued to develop their identities, distant peoples began to encounter one another, and knowledge traveled farther than it ever had before.
